Yoga for Beginners
Beginning/Continuing

Enjoy the calm, peace and self-acceptance of yoga no matter what shape you are in. In beginners classes modifications and adjustments for your body’s needs will be encouraged through the use of props: including a chair, the wall, blocks, bolsters, belts and blankets. You will learn basic yoga poses, and how to allow the “breath to breathe you” to relieve stress and tension in your body, and to open the flow of energy in your body to experience your natural state of well-being.

Yoga Fusion

Combines a bone building, muscle toning, hand-held weight routine, with yoga strength and endurance poses, and the use of ankle weights. Like traditional yoga, yoga with weights is a practice of mind, body, breath and spirit. Utilizing hand-held weights and ankle weights adds another dimension to yoga: they stabilize your body and engage you more deeply into the yoga poses. Yoga with weights creates a balance of strength and flexibility.

Barre Mixed

We mix it up to shake it up! Class blends Cardio, Yoga, Pilates, Light Hand-held Weights and Barre work to take you to your limits…….shaking encouraged. You will be expertly guided to attain proper form, alignment, and core strength & stability as you practice at your own level. Modifications given as needed.

Tai Chi

The practice of Tai Chi fosters a calm and tranquil mind and is often referred to as “moving meditation.” The benefits include stress management and an improvement in balance. Tai Chi is an evidenced-based practice for improving balance….. great for seniors!

Qi Gong

Qi Gong is a practice of movement, sound, and breathing practices that encourages the body to balance itself, enhance vitality, strengthen the nervous system, and improve balance. Qi healing visualizations are provided to assist in clearing out blocked negative emotions and replenishing with positive good-feeling energies.

Gentle Yoga

Throughout this gentle practice you are invited to draw your attention inward as you stretch, balance, strengthen, breathe, relax, and allow your body to guide you.

Moderate Yoga

This moderate yoga flow is a heart-centered experience with awareness on the breath, movement, and sensation. You will discover new strength and flexibility, find out how to find your “edge” ( that place between over-doing and under-doing), and reconnect with vitality, balance, and vibrant joy.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a very gentle form of yoga that can be practiced by everyone no matter their age or physical condition. Restorative yoga combines a series of postures using various props for support. When the body is supported by these props – blankets, bolsters, eye bags etc., the body, mind and spirit are given the message to let go of deeply held tension. Deep relaxation is further facilitated through breathing techniques, visualization, meditation, stillness, and hands-on assists.
Come enjoy the many benefits of this class and experience a greater sense of overall well-being.
